The M.O. of the Capitalist Hierarchy of American Political, Business and Journalistic Powers That Be: Commit Crimes And Lie To Get Your Way, Issue Buried Apology or Retraction Later. Donna Brazile Claims Proof HRC Rigged Primary Against Bernie.

Just caught this on Twitter and am compelled to drop it here. In light of "NYC Board Of Elections Admits ILLEGAL Purge Of 200K Progressives (Jimmy Dore Show)" this would seem to be another barnburner in what should amount to a full scale wildfire exposing how deeply corrupt the Democratic Party is. (Read the comments underneath the video on YouTube. Firsthand reminder of just how many people were purposely disenfranchised by the power-blinded Clinton machine).

In a more attuned world these revelations - along with Hillary's embarrassing petulant accusatory tour, the MSM's Russian Red Herring Mania bullshit and Bernie's standing as most popular politician by far - should have the effect of a huge, nonpartisan outcry by the citizenry that our electoral process, with the DNC Primary as Exhibit A, is a massive Lie being perpetrated on the American people. Instead of non-stop freakout over Drumpf, these revelations should be moving us in the direction of examining how we got there in the first place.

But first, the subtext of Brazile's curious admission has me ruminating on the fundamental problem of unbridled Capitalism. On a deeper level it has everything to do with the context of concentrated wealth leading to monopoly (six conglomerate corporations practically dictate everything we see, hear, read, eat and buy), with the ability to pay batteries of lawyers kept on call to obstruct and delay justice and/or to win wars of attrition against lesser-wealthy opponents/enemies. Basically, when you're connected to these kinds of levers of power, you can do whatever you want, almost literally, with full knowledge that there will be some cadre of high-powered lawyers to protect you for being a loyal officer. Just as no cops go to jail, neither do politicians. Or hardly ever. If you're a politician or in the media, just issue an apology or retraction; business as usual.

It's hard to imagine what Brazile has to gain by this; a little-too-late attempt to rehabilitate her credentials to Progressives doesn't quite feel right. The DNC's brazen expunging of Bernie supporters is another surefire sign that the Dems have learned nothing and are doubling down with arrogance and hubris. It's so pathetic to be laughable.

Before I called Bernie Sanders, I lit a candle in my living room and put on some gospel music. I wanted to center myself for what I knew would be an emotional phone call.

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie...

So I followed the money. My predecessor, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had not been the most active chair in fundraising at a time when President Barack Obama’s neglect had left the party in significant debt. As Hillary’s campaign gained momentum, she resolved the party’s debt and put it on a starvation diet. It had become dependent on her campaign for survival, for which she expected to wield control of its operations.

Debbie was not a good manager. She hadn’t been very interested in controlling the party—she let Clinton’s headquarters in Brooklyn do as it desired so she didn’t have to inform the party officers how bad the situation was. How much control Brooklyn had and for how long was still something I had been trying to uncover for the last few weeks.

By September 7, the day I called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart.

Jesus, heavy conscience. But after the fact. It's a burdensome game to be affiliated with, when you're dealing with massive power struggles. And "forged"? Attempting to absolve herself from having been caught giving CNN debate questions to $hills? Still, no one has come forth to prove the trove of Wikileaks docs from the DNC were lies.

Got to admit, though it's a weird place to be, it's satisfying to read stuff spilled out from the inside, confirming what we all suspected:

When you have an open contest without an incumbent and competitive primaries, the party comes under the candidate’s control only after the nominee is certain. When I was manager of Gore’s campaign in 2000, we started inserting our people into the DNC in June. This victory fund agreement, however, had been signed in August 2015, just four months after Hillary announced her candidacy and nearly a year before she officially had the nomination.

I still get a gnawing feeling in my stomach recounting what it felt like to be a voter, two years out from the presidential race, knowing that it's all been decided and you don't matter at all.

In a larger sense, this is what America is and probably always has been.
It's a haven for flagrant abuse of power by the wealthy, who are shielded by the empty promise of the Greatest Democracy In The World™, the lies and propaganda of American Exceptionalism taught in our education system, while we are subliminally conditioned (with the help of advertising) to worship at the altar of the Deity of Capitalism, which without you can't achieve the hallowed birthright of your American Dream. That's the current state of America. Maybe it's always been this way. If it has I don't think it's been to this extent.

Power corrupts absolutely. Capitalism results in concentrated power.

Dopey Fascist Boy Drumpf's entire hollow, overextended, bankruptcy-ridden "empire" is built on this kind of criminal abuse of contractors, employees and developers. He's always operated with tactics of slinging a fusillade of bullshit, lies and false promises in all directions and seeing what sticks. It's his favored mode of uberCapitalism. Then he doesn't pay people, breaks contracts, etc and threatens people to sue him, or gets on the offense and sues them first. Lawsuits are filed indiscriminately, basically warning opponents that they'll get buried if they try to fight. This is also the way the 1% and Corporate America operates. Muck up the works; by fire-hosing the dockets, which also has the effect of preventing legitimate cases involving regular folks ground down in the dehumanizing meat grinder of Capitalism from getting their day in court.

Murdoch's media empire operates similarly. Run with outright lies, spread salacious gossip and ad hominem attacks on enemies, always for the purpose of keeping more eyes on your "product," which then sells more advertising. Issue a retraction or "correction" weeks later in the back pages after the damaging defamation has already gotten traction. Mission accomplished. Which in the end is the only thing that really matters: profit, and using all the tools in your portfolio, to increase your power. Both Murdoch and Trump play wars of attrition in order to beat down lesser-connected opponents.

The NYPD operates in the same way, illustrated in the way they destroyed Occupy Wall St. In the middle of the night the attacked with a literal invasion-style operation (coordinated with DHS, FBI, and Mayors of major cities, read: Domestic Security Alliance). People were beaten, personal property destroyed and blanketing efforts were made to keep the media away. Settle it out of court in the way distant future, as their pack of wolf lawyers kick the can down the road, admit no guilt and resume your fascist ways. Same for victims of murder by police.

It's another aspect of Capitalism that reminds us that it is this economic system, above all, that is the core problem. When people are prone to say it sounds like you're envious of those making money, it's not that at all. I could care less if unfulfilled braggarts want to spend their lives collecting things to impress their colleagues (at that level I don't think many even have true friends). What concerns me most, and is the entire criticism of capitalism, is the power it allows a cabal of criminals to wield on legislation, the justice system and the further concentration of commerce.

"Behind every great fortune there is a crime."

It's evident that the Democratic Party needs to be destroyed - with the purpose of ultimately dismantling of the Duopoly.

To do that, all those in frenzied meltdown over Trump need to see crystal clear, that the Democrats' deep festering corruption, illustrated in these two scenes this week (which are really only the tip of the iceberg), are what gave us Trump - full stop, 110%.

Will probably write up a general essay soon when I can, to fill you in with some more personal anecdotes.

For the purposes of this essay, what do you make of this situation?

Will there ever be enough evidence for folks to finally rise up in light of the whole foundation of this vaunted American democracy being built on sand/that as long as we continue to live by the sword of Unbridled Capitalism we will suffer such fate?

@Mark from Queens It gets better (with the kids I mean)

I've been looking at the front page of the NY Times the last couple of weeks and almost everyday they have a story on how Russia "hacked" the election using social media. It's pathetic.

And then, once more today I listened to NPR pushing the Russia narrative and how the social media platforms must be regulated to prevent interference in elections not only by Russia, but now by China and North Korea as well. I guess we have a new axis of evil.

The interviewee (sorry but I didn't catch her name) was basically saying we can't have free and fair elections until we regulate alternative media. Expect heavy censorship worse than we have now. Talk about your 1984 scenario. The people interfering in our elections are the establishment of the two major parties as the purge in NYC proves, yet Russia, China and NK on social media gave us Trump. It's either laugh or cry. The blackest comedy I could have imagined is our reality.

Brazille’s amazing ‘explanation of her actions and thoughts about the Clinton Creature’s Crime Syndicate before, during, and after she did everything she could do to help get to get Her coronated. I couldn’t believe it when she was referring to Sanders as ‘Bernie’ and then threw the Clinton Creature under the bus along with DWS and the entire DNC. I was confused then and I’m confused now. What is she up to???

I don’t believe that story of what a champion she was for ‘truth, justice, and the American way.’ (Oh wait - that was Superman. Donna is a champion of Donna. Period.

So what is she up to? Trying to rehab her rep plus push the idea that she is, well see, this is where I get confused. Is she trying to pretend she’s really our BFF so she can manipulate us down the road? Who’s agenda is she pushing? Her own? The neo-liberal Turd Way? Who?

She isn’t kind to the Clinton Creature, DWS, or the DNC in her ‘version of What Happened. But does this benefit them in some way I can’t see? Is this the prelude to her attempts to do a Bernie and lure us back into the ‘veal pen’? What?

I just don’t get it.

Hachette to Publish Donna Brazile Book On 2016 Election

Jul 12, 2017
Hachette Books has acquired Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns that Put Donald Trump in the White House by former DNC chair and noted Democratic Party strategist Donna Brazile. The book will be published November 7, 2017, a year after the presidential election of 2016.

The book was acquired in a deal for world rights by Hachette senior editor Paul Whitlatch, who will edit the book. Brazile was represented by Keith Urbahn and Matt Latimer, partners at Javelin, a D.C.-based literary, media and creative agency.

The book is described as a close examination of the 2016 presidential election, including the notorious scandals around Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee. According to a release from Hachette, the book outlines Brazile’s response to a “wholly unprecedented attempt by a foreign power to influence a presidential election.” The book will also look at Hillary Clinton’s response to the Russian intrusion and to the tactics of her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.

WHAT HAPPENED

Edit: to add THE ANSWER Black Enterprise Wealth for Life

A Black Enterprise Honoree

Brazile has been a fixture in D.C. for decades. She will be honored with the Barbara Graves Legacy Award at the 2018 Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit at a gala reception.

@eyo @eyo

I'd say, likely trying to establish cred with Bernie Bros and others to help support the official version of the RUSSIA!!! HACKED!!! THE!!! ELECTION!!! propaganda that she just wrote a book in support of.

We can bet that they won't be charged over cheating Bernie and Dem voters (not to mention the rest of the world) of the chance of sane governance in the public interest - but in an actual democracy or legitimate legal system, lying, faking the claimed existence of 'evidence' forever to be kept secret because not existent at all, and making false charges against the head of (yet another) foreign government in order to create an excuse for (yet another) lucrative and murderous military attack on that country might have actual consequences, if not exerted in America, perhaps in international courts and various of the other countries now massing on Russia's borders and/or waiting for Mutual Assured Destruction as a result. Plus, their paymasters are pushing really hard and such as the Clintons'll never make that full first billion if the financial spigots shut off.

This expose - apparently permitted by the DNC - seems to me to be expected to work because we'd never expect any truth to come out of the party concerned and here's one insider 'whistle-blowing' a modified version of what's been proven and obvious while maintaining more important propaganda,

the very best liars mix a little truth in with the lies to make the latter seem more plausible,

and total global dominance is more important to The Psychopaths and Parasites That Be than having one relatively minor Parasite admit something already well known and thoroughly proven

where the propaganda campaign intended to cover it has failed more deeply than the (ever-changing as well as continually disproven or excessively stupid) Russian!!! Hack!!! of specifically known-to-be-leaked emails, (even if likely otherwise hacked by any number of others in other cases, for other uses, as well, since national security was always of no moment to Sec of State Hillary and the DNC)

even including ludicrous claims of Russian hacking of an isolated electrical grid said to be not even on-line,

as well as the 2016 election (which the RUSSIAN!!! HACKING!!! claims apparently were created to replace various State complaints regarding the Homeland Security unauthorized scans of, and attempts to access, State electoral infrastructure even during the election and which were undeniably traced back to them specifically and reported on at the time, just before Homeland Security grabbed control over all electoral apparatus anyway) and now mutated into the utterly pathetic Facebook advertising nonsense, as an excuse for censorship as well as Mutual Assured Destruction, all so that this total control could be extended over everyone, everywhere.

Going to repeat this comment:

Everything I've been seeing pertaining to this has gone to further solidify my suspicions-become-theory that the Dems have been and are strategically losing seats to allow the Repubs to gain the majority required to enact that Constitutional Convention, to be achieved in this next non-Presidential election, after which Hillary, I suspect, will get Her Turn at long last.

That being, in part, why I personally think that Her's so eager to convince everyone that it wasn't Her fault Her lost, as Her'd like the next Presidential Selection to look plausible enough to avoid riots and international questioning of Her legitimacy. And a lot of censorship is required toward that end.

So, my best guess (albeit speaking as One Who Knows Nothing) would be that the Dem leadership has no actual interest in winning this next election, and cannot be appealed to or leveraged by voters on any grounds.

And the following article from 2015 which I came across tonight when looking for something else explained the details needed for that theory to stand up and say 'Aaaaaaha!'.

Going to repeat part of a post I made earlier tonight, with all emphasis mine:

I'm just going to quote, below, one section from the article regarding that Constitutional Convention for which a great push erupted some time back and where the Dems have been, seemingly deliberately, losing enough seats to allow the 'bad cop' Republicans the majority they need to pass one:

ALEC's Scary Corporate Agenda: 7 of Its Most Anti-Democratic and Science-Denying Ideas
ALEC's annual gathering revealed how right-wingers will push dangerous legislation across the country.
By Brendan Fischer / PR Watch
July 22, 2015

...5. Amend the Constitution

In recent years, one of ALEC's top priorities has been to add a balanced budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution. And it will be a major focus of this month's meeting.

A balanced budget amendment is an idea that has been bouncing around for decades--even though it would cripple the federal government's ability to spend on earned benefit programs like Social Security, and block Congress from responding to economic downturns or natural disasters--but what is unique about ALEC's push is that they are trying to do it via an Article V Constitutional Convention.

Article V of the U.S. Constitution provides that thirty-four states (two-thirds) can trigger a convention to propose an amendment, which must then be ratified by 38 states (three-fourths). Although this seems like a tall order, in the past year over a dozen states have passed resolutions calling for an Article V convention, adding to at least twelve other states that enacted resolutions years ago. The proposal has been supported by Koch-backed groups like Americans for Prosperity and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Key to the Article V push has been the "Jeffersonian Project," the 501(c)(4) group that ALEC formed in 2013 amidst complaints from Common Cause and CMD that ALEC was violating its 501(c)(3) charitable status by engaging in excessive lobbying. In order to deflect allegations of lobbying, the "Jeffersonian Project" is now used to urge legislators to pass ALEC model legislation, an activity that ALEC used to do directly.

This year, the Article V strategy dominates the agenda of ALEC's Task Force on Federalism and International Relations, with five presentations and two pieces of draft legislation. The task force's private sector chair is a representative of Americans for Tax Reform, the anti-tax group founded by Grover Norquist. And, there will be two separate ALEC-wide policy workshops on the Article V effort, as well as a reception and dinner titled "States Constitutionally Saving “The American Dream” Summit Via Balanced Budget Amendment Convention."

Throughout U.S. history, the Constitution has only been amended through a two-thirds majority vote in both houses of Congress on a specific amendment, which is then ratified by two-thirds of state legislatures. In contrast, the Article V strategy triggers a full constitutional convention, and it is unclear whether the delegates could be confined to only passing one amendment. This fear of a "runaway convention" has led critics on both the right and left to oppose the Article V strategy.

ALEC has tried to quell these fears through a companion bill declaring that delegates to a convention may not vote on other issues besides a balanced budget amendment. Yet, at least some amendment supporters want to open up the Article V process and amendment the constitution to address an array of issues, like limiting the Commerce Clause, banning international law in the U.S., and placing term limits on the Supreme Court, among other items from a right-wing wishlist.

The key driver of the broader Article V amendment effort is Citizens for Self-Governance (CSG), a group led by Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler, and whose board includes Wisconsinite Eric O'Keefe. CSG, which receives most of its funding through foundations such as DonorsTrust that cloak their donors' identities, has also backed multiple lawsuits related to the "John Doe" investigation into coordination between Governor Walker's campaign and Wisconsin Club for Growth, where O'Keefe is a director.

CSG's Convention of States effort has been endorsed by Mike Huckabee (who will be addressing the ALEC conference) and also attracted support from the likes of Glenn Beck. CSG's "Compact for America" appears on the ALEC agenda with both a presentation and a model bill, and Meckler will also address the conference on July 24.

Another group pushing an Article V amendment is Compact for America, a Texas-based group advised by Nick Dranias, formerly of the Goldwater Institute, and chaired by former Goldwater chair Thomas C. Patterson. This group also is promoting a model bill at the ALEC meeting, and will hold a full breakout session on July 23.

Wisconsin State Rep. Chris Taylor attended a session on ALEC's Article V plans at the group's 2013 conference. When she expressed hesitation that the public would support the effort, she was told, "You really don’t need people to do this. You just need control over the legislature and you need money, and we have both." ...

... To paraphrase Carlin: "It's a big club, and they'll beat your head in with it."

With the addition of this:

In keeping with this theory, Jimmy Dores's take on this seemingly aligns with this possibility, although he doesn't seem aware of any potential link with the Constitutional Convention issue; most, if not all, will have seen this Dore video (a convenient refresher URL following,) or something pertaining to this situation.

Was Hillary micromanaging the DNC to gain maximized profits and pay-offs in the form of lucrative positions - as with the Fundation - while acting in a manner such as to ensure that the Repubs could gain that majority in order to gain ALEC's agenda of a Constitutional Convention?

And does this also in part further explain the Party rejection of Progressives and Prog candidates who would win over corporate Repubs in various areas where corporate Dems couldn't and where the DNC may not bother running Dems against Repubs at all?

Is this confession of some already-known fact cover to lend plausibility to not only other already-disproven claims regarding RUSSIA!!! but to lend cover to what seems an obvious throw of electoral competition in recent elections?

If they confess via an insider proxy to what's best recognized as a cheat and long-standing lie, will that con enough of the people for a long enough time to have the rest of their propaganda swallowed whole so that it can be made impossible to recover/reveal the truth to those they seek to dupe, to make powerless to even think or talk about it, and ever to defend themselves in any form, having been deprived of even their long-ignored and trampled Constitutional rights in a Constitutional corporate rewrite demanded by ALEC?

We must never again encourage evil to grow and worsen; we must never vote for any evil ever again!

@Cant Stop the Macedonian Signal
after decades of privilege and protection, the truth about the Clintons is starting to come out. And where some of it is coming from. It seems like there’s a powerful group, or one fighting for power, who want her gone (why is the big question) that is at war with a batshit crazy greedy elitist group that wants her to stick around and keep trying to snag the golden ring.

I’ve already admitted that I can’t figure out what any of these whack jobs are up to, what their motivations are, and who’s agenda they are pushing. I know what they want, control. But this whole mess is unraveling faster than my failed attempt at learning how to knit and the way it’s happening is just bizarre and embarrassing. Such a disgraceful way for a party to die. And over someone who’s proven to be so unworthy (unless you need some bombs, bullets, or a speech).

So thank you (and everyone) for your input. Because I don’t have a damn clue as to what’s going on.

@Amanda Matthews Why? Because part of the Deep State/donor's club/whatever you want to call the rich and powerful behind the scenes are sick and tired of spending a billion dollars and getting crap in return. She was supposed to be sure thing. She flopped.

Admittedly, they're making pretty nice lemonade for themselves out of the Trump lemon, but they still don't like any hint that they might not be in absolute control. They don't like surprises.

Interesting article. What does Donna have to gain from this admission? She's hawking a new book, so there's that. Still $$$ to be made from rehashing the election, apparently. The focus seems to be Russian "hacking" and stealing the DNC emails. Eye roll.

I love how she says she called Bernie to confirm the cheating, then they talked about him working harder to get her elected anyway. No apparent idea that her cheating might have something to do with why she lost. It was "hacking" that did her in.

Haha - it occurs to me, maybe it was. Her's hacking cough did make her seem quite unhealthy. Hillary's Hacking, and then collapsing in public, could have been the tipping point.

Will this shake up the DNC as it should? Will there be a house cleaning, swamp draining reckoning like there should be? If you believe that I've got a victory fund I can sell you.

They seem willing to throw DWS under the bus but that's about it. The talking points will be formulated and Hillary's H8% cult + Brock's bot army will blast them everywhere and it will be business as usual at the DNC.

Fishtroller01 Catte Nappe Oct 04 · 10:43:14 AM
I refuse it because no one has proven it without a doubt, and many of the claims so far have fallen by the wayside. Did you ever read the letter that the Intel Vets wrote to the government about this? Did you see the states that cried foul at that report that 21 states were hacked by the Russians? Did you see the nonsense reporting about the Russians being involved in the NFL protest issues?

Do you not have any sense of skepticism?

How does Russia spending (allegedly) $150,000 on Facebook ads compare with the Clinton campaign spending $1 million in terms of influence on the election?

Does it not give you pause when you find that our country has interfered in the most elections in this world of any country?

www.latimes.com/www.npr.org/

Honduras...www.theguardian.com/www.counterpunch.org/

dissidentvoice.org/…

“After more than 60 days following the kidnapping of President Zelaya and the seizure of power by the usurper “government” of Roberto Micheletti, it became impossible for Washington to continue to deny its direct involvement in this reprehensible and internationally condemned act.”

www.thenation.com/… Please do some homework on Berta Caceres of Honduras.

So, faced with all this clear evidence that our country has and continues to interfere with the elections and internal political issues of many other countries, often causing many deaths, do you think it’s OK when we do it, but not when the Russians do it?"

Asking Catte Nappe about her lack of sense of skepticism was considered "combative".

OMG! I just realized that the DKos community moderation system is RIGGED!!!

Oh, and never mention Berta Caceres... native born liberal environmentalists are only supported by Dems when they are not in Honduras.

Hell, Israel doesn't even have to give any money to anyone because of AIPAC's total control over our government. For some reason not too many people have a problem with this.

@native Not sure whether her ship is going down or not, but it's been clear that there's a fight going on up there whether to face-turn her or not. Since last summer, when WaPo started publishing things critical of Hillary, it became clear that part of the Deep State wants her gone. They've decided she's too heavy to carry.

But she ain't going down without a fight; her faction is sticking to its guns, most of them blaming Obama instead. Brazile is the first one I've seen to go after both and champion Bernie.

One thing this does mean is that Bernie is fully digested and under their control. It's quite possible they'll run him, knowing they can puppet him successfully. That would be sad, and I'd actually rather see another run of the horrendous Clinton Creature than watch what used to be a good, decent man getting puppeted by monsters.

and saying that he neglected the DNC and was told to fire DWS, but he said that she was doing a great job and kept her on.

Did anyone catch this at the first part of the article?

Right around the time of the convention, the leaked emails revealed Hillary’s campaign was grabbing money from the state parties for its own purposes, leaving the states with very little to support down-ballot races.

I'm not sure what Bernie could have done at the point when he was told this and he probably thought that she'd be better than Trump, but there is no f*cking reason for him to be spreading the Russian interference bullshit! He knows that the Hillary campaign made it up. Add this in with his staying silent when it looked like the primary was rigged, then I start thinking about his being a sheepdawg again.

I'm getting a kick with the number of people who are defending the DNC and Hillary.
Again let's reverse the election results. Just like Hillary's supporters would be upset if Trump had lost the election and then blamed Russia for it, imagine what they would be saying if Bernie had won and then this came out.

Is there nothing that they won't defend just because it's Hillary that is being accused of doing it?

Man, might be nice if they all did...

But then we have a serious crisis in government. The veneer of legitimacy of the US Government is chipping away. Once it's gone, we're not going to get revolution, we're going to get corporate stepping in and making the trains run on time.

If the appearance of legitimacy fails, the Republic is in trouble. I could see a sharp pivot designed to speed that transition along.

BTW, I'm not talking about some kind of wild eyed CT on the managed democracy front. This transition to benevolent corporate management is a real, serious idea; It's been in the business press for about 3 years now pushed by some heavy hitters.

in the 2016 primaries have something to do with the sea change, as in, isn't there some confirmation that it happened? This is an old article:

https://www.brooklynpaper.com/stories/40/5/all-schneiderman-joins-brookl...

January 27, 2017 / Brooklyn news / Politics
State suing Board of Elex for ‘illegal’ voter purge

The state has joined the lawsuit against the New York City Board of Elections for disenfranchising Brooklyn voters ahead of the contentious 2016 presidential primary. The board axed more than 200,000 voters from its rolls, including more than 117,000 in Brooklyn — many of whom should not have been scrubbed — in a clear violation of the law, according to New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

“The right to vote is sacred, protecting all other rights. Yet the NYC Board of Elections’ practices were directly responsible for disenfranchising over 200,000 voters — violating federal and state laws, and undermining New Yorkers’ trust in the institutions meant to protect their rights,” said Schneiderman.

Good-government group Common Cause launched the suit in November, and the Department of Justice got on board on Jan. 12.

The city criticized the Board of Elections for not properly maintaining voters rolls in 2013, and the board launched a massive purge known as the “Brooklyn Project” to cut more than 117,000 voters simply because they had not cast a ballot since 2008, according to complainants. The board’s higher-ups, including executive director Michael Ryan and borough commissioner Dr. John Flateau, were aware of what was happening but did nothing to stop it, the suit also alleges...

This is one way the Hillary cult reminds me so much of the tea party. Once they latch on to a talking point it never dies, facts be damned. They took a page from Ann Coulter's "How to argue with liberals" book - string 5 or 6 lies together in one sentence and because each lie takes a few minutes to explain, you win.

I'm going to comment on the ironic reference Brazile made about her "spiritual sensitivities" in relation to the massive fraud the DNC perpetrated on unsuspecting voters.

First, I assume her comment about "lighting candles and listening to gospel music" before she had to call Bernie is a lie since everything that comes out of these people's mouth is a lie. But its a cynically unctuous lie because the spiritual (or religious) aspect of it implies she'd like us to believe that she believes our humanity is of some consequence. Although I am certain that the only lofty ideas of our shared humanity the Masters of the Universe and their henchmen entertain are those that come along with sipping champagne in their tuxedos while they admire the Arts, I have a response, nonetheless, to their evoking it as if they were in fact acknowledging the sublime and awesome nature that is our humanity, while they do everything possible to subvert and destroy it.

In Buddhism we say you die the way you live. This essentially means that you will either have a peaceful death, or an un-peaceful one. Definitions of what may constitute an un-peaceful death are best illustrated in the "Tibetan Book of Living and Dying", however, I've always believed a stark reckoning of the causes you have made throughout your life is inescapable. And so, without the aid of their lawyers, their money, or their power, the Masters of the Universe have at long last met their match. Their own karma. Which I imagine affords them great comfort as they die a death commensurate with the life they led, surrounded by people on their payroll and the family members who are waiting for the will to be read.
