(US is still pushing its luck in Syria): Russia warns US it will strike back if militia attacks in Syria don’t end

Russia warns US it will strike back if militia attacks in Syria don’t end

Moscow has warned the US that if militias it supports in northeast Syria again attack positions of pro-government forces backed by Russia, the Russian military will use all its force to retaliate.

The troops of the Syrian Democratic Force (SDF), a predominantly Kurdish militia that receives support from the US military, have twice attacked positions of the Syrian Arab Army in the Deir ez-Zor governorate with mortar and rocket fire, according to the Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

“SDF militants work to the same objectives as IS terrorists. Russian drones and intelligence have not recorded any confrontations between IS and the ‘third force,’ the SDF,” the Russian general said.

The escalation of tension in eastern Syria is mirrored in the western Idlib governorate, where militant forces this week attacked Syrian positions in a designated de-escalation zone. The offensive threatened a unit of Russian military police, who were stationed in the area to monitor the ceasefire. Russia mounted an emergency rescue operation on Wednesday, in which three Russian special operations troops were injured. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the militants’ offensive had been instigated by US special services,

The Russian Defense Ministry says that, according to their data, an offensive launched by Al Nusra terrorists and their allies in Syria was orchestrated by the US security services, aiming at derailing the Syrian Army operation near Deir ez-Zor:

“According to our intelligence data, the offensive was instigated by the US security services to stop the successful advance of the government forces to the east of the [city of] Deir ez-Zor,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, commenting on the incident.

One of the major goals of the terrorists consisted in capturing a unit of the Russian military police monitoring the situation in the de-escalation zone, the ministry said.

The terrorists, however, failed to achieve their goals and their offensive was eventually repelled by government forces supported by Russian military aircraft.

Earlier, Russian officials already suspected the US of having links to some radical groups in Syria and even of attempts to let Al Nusra terrorists off the hook. On September 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the situation around the Al Nusra Front terrorist group remains “highly ambiguous” as it was repeatedly spared in the operations conducted by the US-led coalition and its allies.

The US military is going to push the world into a really bad situation in their eternal quest to find a war that they can win. The neos, both -con and -liberal, are willing to go to any lengths to stop Russia from making any progress towards a 'peace' in Syria. They would rather see every man, woman, and child in Syria dead rather than to allow Russia to broker a peace or to conquer ISIS. The neos know their days are numbered world-wide and and America will no longer be the world's policeman.

THIS is what the neos are so desperately trying to prevent:

What is 'Brazil, Russia, India, China And South Africa - BRICS

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa BRICS s an acronym for the combined economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. BRIC, without South Africa, was originally coined in 2003 by Goldman Sachs, which speculates that by 2050 these four economies will be the most dominant. . South Africa was added to the list on April 13, 2011 creating "BRICS".

TPTB think their bunkers will save them from the destruction they have wrought. I wonder, do they think their precious little snowflakes will like spending their lifetimes underground? Because at the rate the neos are starting wars and making enemies, their spawn will never see daylight once the real fighting begins. The Have-Nots of the world are fucking tired of greedy elitist Western bastids and bitches.

P.S. Is it my imagination or has Britain become a lot less bellicose and threatening since Cameron got the boot? Wonder why?

EDIT: tee/the and another typo I can't remember

@ggersh
exceptionally greedy... and exceptionally stupid. USA is not in Syria to "fight terrorism". The claim is little more than a cover story. USA is in Syria to grab as much of Syria for the "Empire" as it possibly can. And it is perfectly willing to employ radical Islamists (including ISIS fighters) to help achieve that delusional, and very destructive goal.

In addition to enduring Kurdish potshots and spooky rear area offensives, the Russians are now accusing the Americans of screwing around with the Euphrates:

Water discharges from the Euphrates dams controlled by the US-backed opposition hamper the advance of Syrian government troops near Deir ez-Zor, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

"Thus, the water situation on the Euphrates has deteriorated dramatically in the past 24 hours. As soon as the Syrian government troops began to cross the river, water level in the Euphrates rose within hours and the current velocity nearly doubled to two meters per second," he said.

"Since there have been no rains, the only source of such changes in the water situation is man-induced water discharge at dams upstream the Euphrates. These facilities are held by opposition groups controlled by the US-led coalition," he stressed.

It all just seems so petty.

It does, doesn't it?
While I was looking at the devastating photos of the damage from the Mexico earthquake, I was also thinking about the damage from the 3 hurricanes. It's overwhelming to see all of houses that were destroyed by these 4 events and then knowing that our military is doing that kind of damage to people's homes and countries deliberately.

The storms have moved on, the earth has stopped shaking, yet the damage is going to remain for years if not decades. The news media has moved on or has moved back to covering the Russian propaganda, while thousands of people are still homeless.

This is just so petty.

that the American forces supporting the SDF and Kurdish fighters are working with the Syria/Iran/Russia forces to end the CIA supported ISIS/ALQaeda forces.

If SDF and Kurdish fighters go against Syria and Russia, we are in a quagmire that has no end, and we're at war with Russia, which means push comes to nuclear shove.

The world has to suffer a nuclear holocaust so the CIA won't look bad. They have that much power and that much stupidity. They think this sociopathy makes them look good because, in the mind of a fascist, killing millions to make the point that you're invincible is reasonable.

Thanks so much for this essay/information!

May I offer one small suggestion, though, in the interest of accuracy?

'...The neos know their days are numbered world-wide and and America will no longer be the world's policeman. mafia.'

Actual non-corrupted policeman in actual public-protective police forces don't barge around doing brute-forced entries anywhere that they think there might be something to steal, while killing/dispossessing the inhabitants, and I'd hate to think that this has been established as an 'acceptable norm', even though it may have been imposed on too many populations during this global corruption process.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

@Ellen North
I used it. I was referring to the way they see themselves , the 'authority' they use to justify their actions. No snark, but I just I don't want the meaning of what I typed changed.

than to drive a wedge between the Kurds and the Syrian Government. Israel (of course) is fully supportive of a theoretically "independent" Kurdistan. Divide and conquer as per usual, is the US/Israel plan. I just hope the Kurds don't fall into the trap that's being set for them. That way lies much heartache, and even more bloodshed.
