"Our Revolution": New Organization Announced by Former Sanders Campaign
This went out yesterday afternoon to the email list:
Political pundits and the billionaire class are watching very closely to see what Bernie supporters do next. Some of them might be tempted to believe our political revolution is toast.
They want our extraordinary phone banking, door knocking, and grassroots organizing efforts to stop. They want us to get discouraged. They want to vanquish our movement once and for all.
We aren't going to let that happen.
That's why, on the evening of August 24, we will kick off a new organization called Our Revolution with a major live stream address where Bernie will talk about the specifics of what we can do as organizers going forward to fight for every single issue that drove this campaign. In order to get as many people watching as possible, we need to set up grassroots watch parties all over the country.
The most important thing you can do today to move the political revolution forward: Sign up to host one of these events on August 24 at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.

Unless Bernie does a complete 180 turn, it will be all about getting the Bernistas behind Hellery (the phone banking, door knocking, and grassroots organizing efforts) to save us from Trumpageddon . And I doubt the Bernistas are going to comply with that.

The stated purpose
Of Our Revolution is down ballot races: get Berners running, get other Berners to support those campaigns.
Down ballot Democrat's
are still corporate corrupt weasels disguised as progressives who once elected will turn on a dime and sell your water to Nestle, privatize your schools and prisons, and sell your land and resources to the highest bidders. They lie and call it progress or green. Even if they are not crooks to begin with they either toe the line or their marginalized and powerless. I took MB's advise and worked down ballot for the Democratic party starting in 2005-6. Down ballot is just another layer of lesser evilism.
'Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good' they used to say. Sadly there is no good left in the Democratic party as we have just witnessed. Who do you think gives them the support and money they need to win? The DNC and the Democratic machine local state and federal. It not Our Revolution. Berner's who are willing to sell out to the likes of the Democratic party are not going to revolt. They are not getting my vote let alone any grassroots action from me.
Been there done that and it does not work. Here in Oregon the progressives we elected are busy as bee's selling off this beautiful city and state to the investors from Shanghai, crooked realtors, and developers. Shame on Bernie, shame on the progressives in congress who fold like a cheap tent and shame on the bent Democratic pols who make a killing off our land, people and future and then call this 'inevitable' progress. From dogcatcher to mayor to state reps and the governor, I will not support them, vote for them or work for them. Sorry I do believe I've had enough. Enough is enough and this is not our revolution.

Let's do #JillNotHill first before anything else. If the Green Party gets 5 percent of the vote they can qualify as a "real" political party. And the Dem PTB will know that a bunch of Bernie supporters were not bluffing when we said we would not vote for the "lesser evil."

he'll have to earn it at this point. This time he needs more than a song and dance. He quit with no explanation. He allowed this campaign to be stolen without a peep. Until he speaks to what he did, I'm not interested in where he wants to go until he gets there.

We know Clinton plays dirty.
They made a point of PUBLICLY HUMILIATING him as he was stripped of Secret Service protection - it was a talking point in ALL the major news reports. Think that was accidental? You think his family wasn't threatened?
I feel confident they did whatever it took to get him to capitulate ahead of Philly. If we ever learn what transpired, it's unlikely to be soon.
I believe Bernie has fought as hard as is humanly possible.

You may be right, but right now, we have no proof.
So if Bernie's new campaign pisses them off again, will he fold again? I give him credit for what he did do, and I hold him accountable for what he didn't do. Without an explanation for why he bailed, I can't even try to accept it beyond it is what he did.
I predict Bernie's "revolution" will peter out to nothing, but I hope he makes me wrong.

The simplest explanation is that Bernie actually
thinks it's important enough that Trump loses and that he sees Hillary as the best way to achieve that goal that he's willing to trash his own reputation.
In my state, it looks to be run by the same clown who headed the
campaign here. His staff had zero idea what he did ahead of the primary (other than make a purchase of MANY cases of literature never used but printed by a friend of his). This guy TOTALLY dropped the organizing ball before the county convention and the state convention. Then he did his best to discredit the grassroots group which actually DID plan something for the state convention (and ACHIEVED IT, btw!).
The best thing I've heard about him is that his credentials were briefly stripped in Philly, so he must have done SOMETHING while there.
I decided for myself that he was not a plant, just fairly incompetent. And that REALLY pisses me off.

Deliberate attempt to Shortcircuit Jill's Campaign.
Dr. Stein immediately latched on to the Revolution rhetoric and proclaimed that it continued, and the Green Party was part of it.
This is nothing more than yet another sheepdog attempt.

Notice the email was signed by "Claire Sandberg" who I presume is his stepdaughter, no doubt a Millennial Sheepdogger. Looks like Hill's last attempt to corral young'uns to the Dem party. Trust, once lost, cannot be easily regained. And those "he must have been threatened" rumors are just that - rumors.
He looked just sick after he met with Obama
So I do believe they threatened someone he cares for, probably not him, personally. It was an awfully sudden and dramatic change in him.
But they can do the same thing with/about his downballot candidates. So I'm not comfortable donating to or volunteering for his new group.
