So a good guy, Teacherken, writes the latest in a sequence of diaries essentially saying the Sanders people should all give up. The tenor is all the same: we told you he would lose.
Now most of these people never thought Sanders would break 30, so the idea the know something we don't is absurd. We long since outperformed their wildest expectations.
So I wrote this:
No it really is. Profoundly condescending.
* Somewhere, somehow a Hill Person will take this title as a misogynistic attack on Hillary. If only I kid....
Well, so this is Caucus99Percent. Clearly based on your basic drupal platform, with standard templates. And you know? There ain't nothing wrong with that.
Went to RSVP and the event is full
But I may go hang out anyways! Any other Portland area members going to be there? It can be an unofficial C99 meetup
The following is part of an email I received from BoldProgressives today.
We've got an opportunity to highlight some important issues that the entire progressive community needs to be thinking about at the upcoming Netroots Nation Conference on July 14 - 17 in St. Louis.
Here's a fact: progressives are a minority in the Democratic Party. Or, at least, a minority of its voters. This is true for a variety of reasons that are far too many and too complicated to fit inside a single blog post. It's a great way to start a related conversation, though: moving on from traditional party machine politics.
Well, this must be true because it is in the New York Effing Times. No one else is to blame for her failing to have already put away her only opponent for the Democratic nomination, a little known Democratic Socialist with no media coverage and no support from the Democratic establishment.
Okay, I know there are some of us that are bitter and not happy while others are angry and spiteful (maybe a little harsh of a word) and I get it, but we are smart and enlightened people. Therefore, lets use all this energy and focus it to make this place what we want it to be (thanks and shout out to the founders of this site- great start and foundation to build upon). Forget about the other place- who really cares- it is his freaking loss.
This evening's music features The King of the Blues, B.B. King. Enjoy!

“Today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups... So I ask, in my writing, What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms."
