Media Matters founder David Brock suffers heart attack
Media Matters founder David Brock has suffered a heart attack but is expected to make a "swift recovery," a senior aide said Wednesday.

"David Brock suffered a heart attack while working in the Washington DC office early Tuesday," Bradley Beychok, Brock's chief of staff, said in a statement.

"He was quickly transported to a local hospital, received prompt medical treatment, and we are looking forward to a swift recovery

First things first, I find it remarkable that the miserable little cretin even has a heart. And second, I bet he has some really great healthcare coverage, and like all these slugs, he's found a way to get other people to pay the premiums (and everything else) for him.

In 2004, he founded Media Matters for America, a non-profit organization that describes itself as a "progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media."[4] He has since also founded super PACs called American Bridge 21st Century and Correct the Record, has become a board member of the super PAC Priorities USA Action, and has been elected chairman of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).[5][6]

The Nation has described Brock as a “conservative journalistic assassin turned progressive empire-builder”;[6] National Review has called him a “right-wing assassin turned left-wing assassin”;[7] and Politico has profiled him as a “former right-wing journalist-turned-pro-Clinton crusader.”[5]

Funny thing, he corrupts and destroys every thing he touches. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics was once upon a time a dependable organization for monitoring and outing corrupt politicians. Not any more. He's like his master, the Clinton Creature. Everything he touches turns to shit.

Funding

Roll Call reported that CREW doesn't disclose its donor list, and quoted former Deputy Director Naomi Seligman as saying that "donors play no role in CREW’s decisions as to the groups or politicians we target."[8] Donors to CREW have included such groups as Democracy Alliance, Service Employees International Union, the Arca Foundation,[36] and the Gill Foundation.[8][37][38]
In January 2012, Democracy Alliance dropped a number of prominent organizations, including CREW, from their list of recommended organizations to receive donations. Support was withdrawn because these groups are more apt to work outside the Democratic Party's infrastructure.[39]

It's come as quite a shock to me how viscerally I can hate certain people I don't even know. And it's come as quite a shock to me how blatantly corrupt this country has become. And I shock myself because now I've got my own private, imaginary 'Death Panel' going and damn, he's right there at the top of my list. This is a terrible (but truthful) thing to say, but I was kind of hoping the Clinton Creature would bite it last fall and get out of our hair forever. She didn't, and I could have begun this sentence with the word 'unfortunately' but that just seems wrong somehow. But it definitely would be honest. And now I'm sad because THIS nasty unit didn't tip over and make the planet a better place. That's how jaded and cold hearted I've become. They want to hurt me and mine, and now I want the same for them. That's a horrible way to feel.

I wonder, does this mean even Satan doesn't want him? He's probably worried that Brock will stage a successful coup and take over Hades.

about condemning low-life asshats and hoping for their demise.
Seeing as I have no god to fear it's rather easy.

The list of people that I would like to see kick the bucket is very long, but each day I'm disappointed that no one on my list has been smotted.

And it's come as quite a shock to me how blatantly corrupt this country has become

I think that this country has been corrupt since its inception, it's just that they aren't trying to hide it anymore.
What Jefferson did to the Native Americans was so heinous and he should be considered a war criminal. What he did was no different from what some of the most brutal dictator did.
The curtain started getting pulled back with Reagan and with the Obama administration and Bernie's words they aren't even bothering to hide their actions anymore.
Obama did so much damage to this country when he didn't hold the war criminals to account. But it's what he did for the bank CEOs that caused the most damage.
Instead of trying to prosecute them and stop the foreclosures which saw over 4 million people lose their homes, he protected them and let them continue their illegal activities.
And he sat back and watched as the democrats lost seats at the federal and state levels and saw the states turn red.
Where was his outrage at how many people were brutally attacked and killed by the police?
He is responsible for Trump being president because he went back on so many of his promises, watched as income inequality kept growing and all the other things he did during his tenure as president.
He should go down as the AWOL president, not the best one since FDR as his admirers say.

and is obviously permanently disabled says she wishes strokes for her enemies. Dying is too good for them, better they be still alive and fully cognizant but not able to sit up or talk. Then they know they're essentially worthless to anyone and have to live with it. While I know that sounds awful I agree, and if anyone has the right to wish that, she does.

My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and it's slowly killing her. She gets "great" benefits from SSDI of $1,185 per month. She'd rather have her health back.

@EdMass

Then again, I recall reading, over the years, obituary-like writing in Time magazine by some establishment columnist or other, noting the death of counterculture figures such as Abbie Hoffman or Timothy Leary and basically saying “good riddance.”

I remember each time feeling a certain shock that “respectable media” were deliberately breaching the ancient custom of not speaking ill of the dead — a sense that one more aspect of civilized conduct was being lost and that our society in general would be the poorer for it.

You're referring to smote/smite? Old words but still around. They mean to deliver such a blow that the enemy collapses and usually dies. It's a big one with the Bible crowd. Rec'd!!

I have spine arthritis and haven't had a pain free day in almost ten years now. It's incredible to me how people simply assume the worst about me because I don't look disabled. I've been called a fraud to my face and have lost friends and family alike. Some days I need two canes to simply get around the house because of the pain. That doesn't matter to my detractors one bit. I don't wish for anyone else to have to deal with this disease and it's painful side affects. I simply wish them to grow a soul and have some empathy. But if someone like Paul Ryan or the Donald DID develop a chronic, painful disease and didn't immediately become an advocate of the sick and disabled, I would relish in their suffering. I feel guilty about that.
