Mystery swirls around Assange’s status at Ecuadorean Embassy

Perhaps the Clinton Crime Family (CCF) has managed to borrow some polonium from Putin and slipped it into Assange's tea.

Midway through releasing a series of damaging disclosures about U.S. presidential contender Hillary Clinton, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says his hosts at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London abruptly cut him off from the internet. The news adds another layer of intrigue to an extraordinary campaign.

Wikileaks Releases Another 1,894 Podesta Emails In Part 11 Of Data Dump; Total Is Now 17,150
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-18/wikileaks-releases-another-1894...
The daily dump continues. In the now traditional daily routine, one which forces the Clinton campaign to resort to ever more stark sexual scandals involving Trump to provide a media distraction, moments ago Wikileaks released yet another 1,894 emails in Part 11 of its ongoing Podesta Email dump, which brings the total number of released emails to 17,150.

However, in the context of foreign policy, the debate is somehow always about “Internet freedom” and opposing the greater Internet control by the likes of China and Iran – all of it as if these other governments are somehow doing something that America itself is not doing in the domestic context.

It's the only rational explanation for why he waited until it was much too late to affect the Democratic primary. If he really, really wanted to roadblock La Strega in every possible way, he would have started the leaking process back in March.

for even the tiniest little dribble to come out of Wikileaks, but by the time the dribbling started, the primaries were effectively OVER.

What did Assange really want - to let La Strega be Selected as the Dim candidate and then to shame her before the world? Very, very dangerous game with an extremely high probability of backfiring (including on him).

There is no justice. There can be no peace.

The problem with that is that WikiLeaks does push things through a vetting process internally. So it's entirely plausible that the delays were just that - vetting delays. There are also technical aspects of processing large volumes of content into a web database. So there are alternative explanations for not releasing them sooner. Though we don't know at all what is true since, for good reasons, Wikileaks largely operates in secret.

Timing was certainly part of it. You and I and the rest here were totally involved during the Primaries, but the vast majority of Americans just ignored that whole drama. Anything he released then would be in the category of, "oh, that...we heard all about that months ago," by now. Forgotten and ignored. He always kept saying he would release closer to the election...and there are more people paying attention.

are dated late in the primary season. It's not clear when Wikileaks got them, but it's a safe bet it was probably nearer to the end of Bernie's run.

Also, Assange always makes a point of saying how carefully they vet the authenticity of docs before releasing, while the sheer volume of stuff suggests they had quite a job on their hands.

So I don't think this is a matter of Assange favoring Trump over Bernie. Just that he favors anybody over Hillary.

At this point, I have as much respect for people who worry about Trump as I do for people who believe pro wrestling is real. As far as I’m concerned these are the same people who cry when John Cena gets hit with a folding chair... You want to talk about Donald Trump? Fine. Donald Trump is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. Google it. Watch the videos of him clotheslining Vince McMahon in front of thousands of screaming fans. Donald Trump knows how to play the heel, and he knows how to work a crowd.

former fan. I'm done w/Vince, at this point.

That Edward Snowden thing he did as part of Alexander Rusev's heel push (courtesy of Lana, his manager) was unforgivable.

Of course, if I'd been watching during the "Lyta got raped by Kane but then fell in love with him later b/c he had impregnated her" storyline, Vince would have lost me already. I don't expect pro wrestling to not be sexist, but there's a couple places I just don't want to go--and that's one of them.

The Edward Snowden thing was absolutely a bridge too far.

So I still love wrestling, but I'm too pissed at the WWE to watch.

it could rather just be that the SOURCE for his dumps is PRO TRUMP, and has been timing his feeding stuff to Assange to help Trump, but it is without a doubt clear that if the timing had been different, it might could have helped Bernie, and I say "might" because the DNC could still have just rigged the primary elections anyway, and also still rigged the convention with the super delegates anyway, and also still threatened Bernie (which I have to assume they did) anyway, to get Bernie to endorse Hillary. So, without the money, power, influence and support that Trump wields, I am not sure Hillary can be stopped or that they can ensure an honest election, and to be honest, even with Trump's money, power, influence, and support, I am still not sure that Hillary can be stopped. I pray that she can be stopped and that they do, I've been praying for this every day.

what the sources are?

Didn't Guccifer hack the DNC and turn the data over to Wikileaks?

Other stuff sounds governmental - was the state dept hacked and if so, when? I'd love to see what Hillary's unsecured servers contain. It also seems possible the FBI was hacked, since the releases seem to exonerate them from complicity with state.

Wiki says "multiple sources" reveal that Kerry pressured Ecuador.

She has to be - all of this corporate/military take-over has to be stopped now.

Bending to and thereby supporting blind, mindless nationalism/'patriotism' in a 'my country, right or very, very horribly wrong' NewThink demanded is how the Nazis indoctrinated the young and damn near took over the world - and this is what's happening again, being enforced against children protesting the state-authorized murder of their own targeted group and their parents, as though peaceful protest is a crime for any children who happen to be Black and for the parents who raised them to be moral and courageous human beings.

German citizens of the time have been much criticized for thinking that this couldn't really happen to their democracy and for failing to fight for it - and Americans have the advantage of having read of the blueprint currently being re-enacted in their own country.

Black children punished for anthem protests

After young 11 and 12-year-boys of the Beaumont Bulls football knelt during the anthem to protest police violence against Black youth, their local executive board canceled their entire football season, suspended the coaching staff, and threatened to arrest their parents if they attended any future games, practices or events.

For these young Black kids, the plight of injustice in America is their own. Instead of supporting the boys and their protests, their executive board and league officials abandoned them. The board has decided to strip these kids of the team that they love to punish them for asking for basic rights and dignities. This is about the board reinforcing that police violence in our communities doesn’t matter, that our issues aren’t important and that speaking on them makes you subject to punishment.

These kids are brave for refusing to give in to the executive board and for standing against injustice. We need to support the fight of these children and show them that their protest is heard.

To the Beaumont Bulls Executive Board,

Immediately reinstate the Beaumont Bulls coaching staff, apologize to the boys and their parents, and allow them to finish their season.

Sincerely,

My comment on this petition:

This is the one of the most disgusting displays of fascism within America I've seem today, and there's waaaay too much competition. Change the targeted and abused group to 'Jewish' and the country name to Nazi Germany and see what this is!

Something that must be protested and eradicated now at every level.

Edited because I managed to click 'block-quotes' instead of 'bold' on a word, and FSM knows what else I've missed; I certainly don't... Apparently I lost a space between words as well; lucky I'm not including the verbal swearing as there was little space left between words there. And missed a couple of words. I will now go quietly to bed to hit my pillow. Repeatedly.

Party loyalty is one thing, but holding longstanding international negotiations (like FARC) hostage to the Hillary campaign's fortunes simply feeds the narrative that the Dems place their own selfish needs ahead of those of the nation.

It is a longstanding maxim the US politics is supposed to end at the shores. Of course it isn't often true, but to see that convenient fiction so terribly abused is not very helpful in persuading those who still believe in it to vote for Hillary.

... it is clear that the present US government and the government to come is fighting a war with WikiLeaks which is all but “covert”. Is it really a coincidence that Julian Assange’s internet access was cut off shortly after publication of Clinton’s Goldman Sachs speeches?

If at the beginning we still had a “soft” version of postmodern McCarthyism, with Hillary calling everyone opposed to her campaign a Russian spy (not only Assange, but also Donald Trump and Jill Stein), then with Obama’s recent intervention it became more serious.

With Obama’s threat of a cyber-war, the “soft” McCarthyism didn’t only acquire geopolitical significance, but at the same time a new mask was revealed: Obama is obviously trying to cement the public debate and make the Russian threat “real”, or at least to use it as a weapon in order to help Clinton to get elected. Moreover, this new twist in something that has already become much more than only US elections (US elections are never only US elections!), shows not only how Obama is ready to strengthen Hillary’s campaign, but it also reveals that a cyber war is already in the making.

It is not a cyber war with Russia, but with WikiLeaks.

And it is not the first time.

The whole article is here: http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/10/18/the-cyber-war-on-wikileaks/

Here's another good point from the article (I highlighted in bold):

One question remains, isn’t WikiLeaks, by leaking all al these dirty secrets, influencing the US elections? Yes, it certainly is, but the current criticism misses its point: isn’t the very point of organisations such as WikiLeaks to publish the material they have and to influence public opinion?

The question should finally be turned around: isn’t the US mainstream media the one influencing the US elections? And isn’t Obama, by announcing a cyber-war with Russia, influencing the elections?

WikiLeaks is not only influencing the US elections, but transforming the US elections – as they should have been from the very beginning – into a global debate with serious geopolitical consequences at stake. What WikiLeaks is doing is revealing this brutal fight for power, but, as the old saying goes, “when a wise man points at the Moon, the idiot looks at the finger”. Instead of looking at the finger pointing to Russia, we should take a look at the leaks themselves.

Actually, they're worse.

Republicans don't claim to be progressives and represent the interests of the little guy. When they act in a predictably neocon/neolib manner, they're honestly functioning as advertised. When today's "Democrats" (completely mislabeled as they're no democrats!) do the same and worse, they're lying traitors. And Mr. Moulitsas doesn't care. He's got his already.
