Wikileaks: Tom Perez to John Podesta 2/5/16

I was going to stick this in a thread started by Miss Didi but I was afraid it would get lost in there. THIS is proof that the fix was in all along. Perez has been and is a DNC flunky. The most relevant part of the email is item #6:

6. Nevada is an opportunity to fight back on so many levels. First, the current storyline is that she does not connect well with young voters. Given that Nevada is far more demographically representative of America, I am confident that HRC can do well with all African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans (dont forget the sizeable population of Asian Americans in Nevada, including Filipinos.). Emmy and the team have a good plan to attract all minority voters. When we do well there, then the narrative changes from Bernie kicks ass among young voters to Bernie does well only among young white liberals-- that is a different story and a perfect lead in to South Carolina, where once again, we can work to attract young voters of color. So I think Nevada is a real opportunity , and I would strongly urge HRC to get out there within a couple days of NH.

They forget that there evidence of their duplicity all over the 'intertubes'. And how nice of them to give the Muslim guy a pat on the head. Now he can sheepdog for them like his sponsor.

From the linked Wikileaks email:

The stories are incredible. In my HRC advocacy, I now say how these people dont have the time to wait for Senator Sanders to complete his quest for the perfect health care system,

FYI, Tom, Bernie already had a plan, better than HRC's we-can't-do-it vision. Remember, Tom, it's called Medicare-for-all. If you had been listening to Bernie, instead of smearing him, you might have heard about this.

Long live the Corporatocracy!

Won't need a brain surgeon to figure out how Tom Perez is gonna "preside".

@JekyllnHyde Thanks for an injection.

Haven't seen Tom Tomorrow lately, or Jen Sorenson or Matt Bors either (haven't really been looking though either). I know Ted Rall is staunchly a Leftist, but the others, I fear maybe not - but not sure anymore. Rall has written some great stuff in defense of Bernie and against the Neoliberal Nightmare of the Dem Party.

Such a shame, really. I loved those three, but seem to remember Sorenson (and maybe TT) falling for the Lesser of Two Evil crap during the horrific 2016 debacle.

are to far to the left and that we need to be more centrist because if we don't vote with the DP then Trump is going to win another term.
Here's one example of that type of comment.

I don’t get why the more left-wing faction of the Democratic Party bitches so much about the center. Considering who is controlling the Congress, the Presidency, and soon to be the Supreme Court, what is so horrible about moderates? I consider myself a progressive, but we gotta be pragmatic about it. Don’t fight a war with centrist Democrats. Take on a more populist approach to campaigning is how the Democrats can start winning — defy the establishment — yes, but not moderates. Especially not in the 10 Senate seats in 2018 held by Democrats who are in states Trump won.

The reason why Trump won IS BECAUSE the democrats moved too much towards the center after every election because we kept voting for the lesser evils candidates.
After Bernie showed us how corrupt the DP is, people decided that enough was enough and wanted them to get back to being the party that helped main stream Americans not their donors.

And after Hillary lost to Donald fucking Trump of all people, we were hoping that they had understood why we didn't vote for Hillary and would finally get the message and change directions.
But they couldn't even bother to throw us a bone and make Ellison the head of the DNC.
Nope they were afraid of the Bernie part of the party would move them to the left so they decided that Perez would be the one who would make sure they didn't change anything and now they are telling us that we need to come together because of Trump and the republicans have to be stopped.

During and after the DNC chair race, many moderate pundits and posters took the position that who wins the DNC chair does not really matter and also that infighting between left and right factions of the Democratic party is unhelpful in the times of Trump. But this, bizarrely enough, wasn’t self-criticism of the moderate establishment wing of the party. No, it was criticism that was and continues to be lobbed at the left-wing sorts who backed Ellison.
Before this gets turned into another thing where the establishment Democrats posture as the reasonable adults victimized by the assaults of those left-wing baddies, let’s just be very clear about what happened here. It was the establishment wing that decided to recruit and then stand up a candidate in order to fight an internal battle against the left faction of the party. It was the establishment wing that then dumped massive piles of opposition research on one of their own party members. And it was the establishment wing that did all of this in the shadow of Trump, sowing disunity in order to contest a position whose leadership they insist does not really matter.
The establishment wing has made it very clear that they will do anything and everything to hold down the left faction, even as they rather hilariously ask the left faction to look above their differences and unify in these trying times. They do not have any intent of ceding anything — even small things they claim are mostly irrelevant — to the left wing.

The democrats proved that they would rather have a republican become president than let the party move left and lose their donors.

and they're too stone-blind to see it, and/or too corrupted to admit it. (Well, maybe Tom Perez will let another little toad of truth hop out of his mouth one of these days. The man was cursed that way by a good fairy. Smile )

Awww, honey, just because I chronically steal from you, beat you up and let my friends seriously injure you a lot over and over again is no reason for you to leave me! Suppose I promise you some flowers (not do-able) or chocolates (unpragmatic) and then you come back and see what happens again? Better yet, suppose I keep trying to threaten, guilt and brow-beat you into it?

in the primary that were never going to go for any Democrat in the general anyway.

Good times.

They created a whole fake new position for Ellison, just as they did for Bernie and Warren. What more can you possibly want? /sarcasm

Ellison, meh. Only two House members and one Senator endorsed Bernie. That is so token, it's laughable. I'm guessing they were doing as they were told, same as all the Democrats in both Houses who did not endorse him. For my money, this guy should have won, but he had to drop out because he no support whatever. http://www.mediaite.com/online/grow-up-dnc-chair-candidate-says-democrat... I mean, a guy who was thinking of the people during Trump Time should never head the Democratic National Committee, right? http://caucus99percent.com/content/frigate-ship-happens

Once again, Dems and I are in perfect disharmony. Then again, nothing's perfect.
