Republican Congressmen Probe Clinton Server Service Providers

Finally, these guys are making good on their promises!

From AP 8/22/16

Republicans to query firms that ran Clinton's private server

Congressional Republicans issued subpoenas to three technology companies that either made or serviced the server located in the basement of Clinton’s New York home. The subpoenas were issued Monday by House Science, Space and Technology Chairman Lamar Smith of Texas with the support of Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

In a joint statement, Smith and Johnson said the move was necessary after the three companies - Platte River Networks, Datto Inc. and SECNAP Network Security Corp. - declined to voluntarily answer questions to determine whether Clinton’s private server met government standards for record-keeping and security.

Datto and SECNAP both objected to providing information previously on the grounds that they did not have permission from their client. Sounds like the folks at Platte River just freaked out and put their heads in the sand and flat out stonewalled and maybe even took the phone off the hook:

Maybe they'll be too busy to be getting up unconsenting people's vaginas... nice to see them doing something useful for a change.

Don't forget that the republicans now have the FBI interview notes from Hillary, Abedin, Mills, and the one I can's wait to hear from, Brian Pagliano! Can't wait to hear what he told the FBI that was considered so important that they gave him immunity. Even more than these other 3 companies, Pagliano spent years setting up and servicing Hillary's servers including the one in her home. He knows more than anyone about those servers. I just hope that the FBI actually gave the committee everything they have about Pagliano and not just a partial release. At this point, I can't see why they wouldn't make all of that information available, but with the number of people in government that seem hell bent to protect Hillary, who knows?

...so far, it would seem they have not (since there is no indictment).

I'd be very suspicious if there isn't something that appears to be worthwhile released. They had to have some idea of what they expected to hear from him. They didn't give him immunity for absolutely nothing. He had to have some information that they wanted and they obviously wanted it bad enough to grant him immunity. If nothing meaningful comes out of the interview notes that have been released. I'd say it's safe to assume the FBI held back some information. The sad part is, we'll likely never know for sure.

In regards to Datto Inc. and SECNAP, they indicate they did not have the clients consent. Now let me see... Who was their client? I do believe their client was Hillary Clinton. So she must be the person who declined to give them consent to discuss this information. Isn't this the same Hillary Clinton who publicly said she was fully cooperating with the investigations? Seems to me, she was doing everything possible to obstruct the investigations.

And the responses from the Platte River attorney are almost comical. I love the attorneys response after refusing electronic service from the committee, "Platte River Networks REJECTS electronic service" in the subject line of an email with no additional text in the body. This coming from a data services supplier? I suspect that Platte River was also told by their "client" not to respond to questions.

Nothing like full cooperation!

she has people for that. Wasn't Platte working out of one guy's apartment when they started all this? They must rue the day they deigned to accept a job which was so much bigger than their capacity and expertise. They should have known to stay the crap away from something like this.

I just really can't wrap my head around. Why would they pick a small little company like this? Hiding what they are doing doesn't make sense. Plausible deniability? Possible!! Hillary's pretty good at that! But a company that at one time housed their servers in the bathroom closet of an apartment? Maybe it's just another example of why Hillary Clinton is unfit to president of this country!

These guys were small enough to be awed at their client and they could be manipulated just that easily. End of story. They'd do whatever they were told and NOT do what they were told to not do. Which is why they haven't responded to CONGRESS so far.

Also, I should think that people would be less likely to check for such small companies.

Wasn't it the company which came forward due to concerns of having been unwittingly involved in something seedy which smelt criminal?

Employee at Clinton's email hosting company feared a cover-up

An employee at the tech company that maintained Hillary Clinton’s homemade email server was concerned that instructions from Clinton's representatives would have the tech firm “covering up some shaddy [sic] shit,” according to emails obtained by Senate investigators

I can't see what the end game is here for the Republicans.

The Republicans on the Oversight Committee and the Benghazi Committee have enough hard facts to make a perjury charge/obstruction charge against HRC (IMO) based on her statements and her actions and the actions of people under her - emails improperly deleted while under subpoena, emails not turned over, number of servers, classified information content, process of how official emails were determined, start date for use of email, number of unauthorized people with access to classified information (which might be what asking these computer companies is all about) etc. So who brings the charge and who prosecutes it? The Obama Justice Department which has already taken a pass on the classified information issues and on the Clinton Foundation? I think it's safe to say that won't be happening.

Possibly they're storing incriminating information like acorns until after the election for an impeachment proceeding? That would depend on them retaining both Houses which looks remote at this point. So what is their plan? Do they have a plan? What is the point?

We have had a catastrophic failure of the two Party system in this election in which both parties have offered up fatally flawed candidates simultaneously. The media is also fatally flawed. It's like all the infrastructure of the exisiting political system is in collapse.

because the only viable alternative to her is the Donald.

Bill talked with Trump for quite a while over the phone before Trump announced. The big question for me is whether Donald is a willing participant in the Clinton plan for the White House or was he easily manipulated?

I'm just waiting for God to smite them both before Nov. 8.

With the offshoring of domestic law under 'trade deals' initiated under Bush, promoted by Hillary and being rammed through by Obama, the existing political system is no longer required. Nor will be any pretense of elections required, at least, not for long - barring a Bernie miracle/Green Party win, of course.

And of course sane, reality-based people people with survival instincts wouldn't (to gain short-term additional money beyond what they could spend) be aiding in the destruction of the very concept of democracy and the rapid elimination of life along with the means (including breathable air/oxygen production and potable non-industrially-poisoned water) to support it on the planet.
